Decatur, IL. Please view the net obituary, ship condolences, and share recollections at DECATUR – Dennis Chaney, seventy nine, previously of Decatur, passed away Saturday, October 31, 2020 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, IL. Dennis was born on November 15, 1940, the son of Lawrence and Betty Jane Chaney. He graduated from Eisenhower High School in 1958. On September 5, 1959, Dennis married his highschool sweetheart and love of his life, Judith Donaldson. They shared over forty seven years collectively, till her dying in 2007.
After school, she taught English at Maroa, and was a long-time substitute instructor for the Unit 5 School District. Sue eventually opened her personal enterprise and was a companion in About the House, a custom framing shop at Eastland Mall. She was additionally a realtor at Alexander Reality in Bloomington, working along with her brother in-law, Orville Alexander. In later years, Sue was the bookkeeper for the household business, Alexander’s Distinctive Autos and Trailers, Bloomington. Sue had many hobbies including studying, gardening, cooking, sewing, antiques, attending collector automobile auctions, boating, and touring.
A very expensive good friend, Alice Eversole, additionally survives. She can be survived by several great nieces and nephews and great, nice nieces and nephews. Eline was preceded in demise by her mother and father, brother Ervin, sister Lilly, nephew Ervin Jr., and nephew Jim. She is preceded in demise by her parents; brother, Ervin Leslie Tucker; and sisters, Betty Tucker Christison; Marilyn Maxine Wise; Beverly Jean Crawford; and Lena Mae Tipsword. Growing up in Decatur he attended Dennis Elementary, Woodrow Wilson Jr High, and was a graduating member of the memorable class of ’57 at Decatur High School. He loved cooking corn canine, fishing, speaking, looking and telling stories. Phil was a member of the Macon County Historical Society and USWA Local 713. He proudly served his nation dmvwv in the United States Army from 1958 to 1963.
